Three companies onto one Odoo

The situation

Emitec Group represents more than fifty measurement manufacturers in Switzerland across three companies. Datacom works in network monitoring and IT security. Industrial covers EMC, RF, thermography and power measurement. Mesomatic specialises in fibre optics.

Three businesses, three markets, three sets of books — and a shared need for a website, a marketing engine and a way to get product enquiries to the right specialist.

What we built

Emitec Datacom

Website, mass mailing and event management. The group runs its own conferences, so events are not a side feature — registrations, attendee lists and follow-up campaigns all live in the same system as the contact records they belong to.

Emitec Industrial

The same base, plus a product showcase. Each product carries an assigned consultant, so an enquiry about a thermography instrument reaches the person who knows thermography rather than a shared inbox.

Mesomatic

In progress: a product showcase and webshop connected to an external ERP through a custom API, so pricing and availability come from the system that already owns them.

Why one Odoo

Shared where sharing helps, separate where the law requires it. Three companies, one database, one set of skills to maintain.

Running three independent systems would have meant three upgrades, three sets of integrations and three places for a marketing list to drift out of date. Running one means the group can add a fourth company without adding a fourth stack.
